Wingnut Keith Olbermann fired again

Current TV Dismisses Keith Olbermann:

In the letter, the channel’s founders, Al Gore and Joel Hyatt, wrote on Friday: “We created Current to give voice to those Americans who refuse to rely on corporate-controlled media and are seeking an authentic progressive outlet. We are more committed to those goals today than ever before. Current was also founded on the values of respect, openness, collegiality, and loyalty to our viewers. Unfortunately these values are no longer reflected in our relationship with Keith Olbermann and we have ended it.”

Too nuts for MSNBC and too nuts for Current TV. Maybe Radio Havana has an opening?

As for Current TV, they are replacing the fruitcake with Eliot Spitzer. I believe the industry term for that is "doubling down on fail".

I wonder if they'll invite the Food Stamp President to the Food Stamp Friday Party

Food-Stamp-Friday-Party

Alabama nightclub raises eyebrows with ‘Food Stamp Friday’ party. Actually, an invitation would be wasted on Barack Obama, since it doesn't seem to be a gay nightclub.

The Good Old Days with Barack Obama and the Comrades

The Vetting, Part I: Barack's Love Song To Alinsky

Best Sandra Fluke Jokes

sandra-fluke-pathetic-woman

I've been laughing at all the great Sandra Fluke (apparently pronounced "Fluck") jokes and cartoons that are popping up like the above from The People's Cube. There's a nice collection on Free Republic including these text gems:

What do you call a woman who needs $3,000 for contraception?
Very busy.

What do you call a woman who wants to be paid to have sex?
A professional.

What do you call a homely professional "reproductive rights activist" who claims to needs $3,000 for contraception?
Dreaming.

For all the haters out there,  just change woman to man in the first two and all three are still funny. Of course the big question is: if we pay for Sandra Fluke's birth control, do we have to pay for flowers and a dinner too? Or more?

Abbott and Costello explain Obama's bogus unemployment numbers

Are you confused as to how the Obama regime's official unemployment rate can be down when record numbers of people are out of work? Let Abbott and Costello explain:

COSTELLO: I want to talk about the unemployment rate in America .
ABBOTT: Good Subject. Terrible times. It's 9%.

COSTELLO: That many people are out of work?
ABBOTT: No, that's 16%.

COSTELLO: You just said 9%.
ABBOTT: 9% Unemployed.

COSTELLO: Right 9% out of work.
ABBOTT: No, that's 16%.

COSTELLO: Okay, so it's 16% unemployed.
ABBOTT: No, that's 9%...

COSTELLO: Wait a minute. Is it 9% or 16%?
ABBOTT: 9% are unemployed. 16% are out of work.

COSTELLO: IF you are out of work you are unemployed.
ABBOTT: No, you can't count the "Out of Work" as the unemployed. You have to look for work to be unemployed.

COSTELLO: BUT THEY ARE OUT OF WORK!
ABBOTT: No, you miss my point.

COSTELLO: What point?
ABBOTT: Someone who doesn't look for work, can't be counted with those who look for work. It wouldn't be fair.

COSTELLO: To whom?
ABBOTT: The unemployed.

COSTELLO: But they are ALL out of work.
ABBOTT: No, the unemployed are actively looking for work. Those who are out of work stopped looking. They gave up. And, if you give up, you are no longer in the ranks of the unemployed.

COSTELLO: So if you're off the unemployment roles, that would count as less unemployment?
ABBOTT: Unemployment would go down. Absolutely!

COSTELLO: The unemployment just goes down because you don't look for work?
ABBOTT: Absolutely it goes down. That's how you get to 9%. Otherwise it would be 16%. You don't want to read about 16% unemployment do ya?

COSTELLO: That would be frightening.
ABBOTT: Absolutely.

COSTELLO: Wait, I got a question for you. That means they're two ways to bring down the unemployment number?
ABBOTT: Two ways is correct.

COSTELLO: Unemployment can go down if someone gets a job?
ABBOTT: Correct.
OSTELLO: And unemployment can also go down if you stop looking for a job?
ABBOTT: Bingo.

COSTELLO: So there are two ways to bring unemployment down, and the easier of the two is to just stop looking for work.
ABBOTT: Now you're thinking like an economist.

COSTELLO: I don't even know what the **** I just said!

Hey, to the Food Stamp President, welfare is just like having a job. Good thing Abbott did not also mention the record surge in part-time workers that are counted as employed or Costello would have been really confused.

Obama asks Congress to raise the limit on his credit card

Barry "Boy Blunder" Obama asked Congress today to raise the USA's debt limit because he has maxed out his credit card again and has so much more spending to do. Maybe Michelle needs another vacation or fancy Halloween party complete with butterfly dancers in globes. For some more black humor, watch the folks at http://debtlimitusa.org/ show what it would be like if the rest of us could spend like the Obama regime:

If it comes from Obama's BLS, you know it is BS

In recent months the Bureau of Labor Statistics has been running a hustle by not counting increasing numbers of workers which results in the widely publicized unemployment rate U3 dropping. It provides fodder for the well-coiffed lapdogs in the Lamestream Media to sing the praises of emperor Obama, but the sad truth is something else - Real Jobless Rate Is 11.4% With Realistic Labor Force Participation Rate

One does not need to be a rocket scientist to grasp the fudging the BLS has been doing every month for years now in order to bring the unemployment rate lower: the BLS constantly lowers the labor force participation rate as more and more people "drop out" of the labor force for one reason or another.

[See the charts and details at the link]

It won't surprise anyone that as of December, the real implied unemployment rate was 11.4% (final chart) - basically where it has been ever since 2009 - and at 2.9% delta to reported, represents the widest divergence to reported data since the early 1980s. And because we know this will be the next question, extending this lunacy, America will officially have no unemployed, when the Labor Force Participation rate hits 58.5%, which should be just before the presidential election.

The Obama plan is to put more unemployed workers on welfare so they don't count as unemployed anymore. Makes sense to him at least.
