The Confederate flag wards off moonbats like garlic wards off vampires

University Students Comforted with ‘Counseling’ after Seeing Confederate Flag on Laptop

University students in Massachusetts who were upset by an image of a Confederate flag sticker on another student’s laptop were offered counseling services at Framingham State University.
The offer came after the university’s “chief diversity and inclusion officer,” Sean Huddleston, described the display of the small Confederate flag sticker as a “bias incident.”
According to Metrowest Daily News, students filed two “bias reports” within the past month as a result of a student displaying the flag in some way. The most recent bias incident – reported on November 19 – was a report of a student having seen a Confederate flag sticker on another student’s laptop.
I suggest a t-shirt and this one is double purpose because it's only a matter of time before the moonbats regard the US flag as a "microaggression" too.

Thanksgiving always seems to unhinge the moonbats

Silver Alert issued for former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi

Have you seen this woman?

Please notify local law enforcement so that she can be returned to the arms of her wealthy and politically connected family.

Former U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been behaving in an increasingly erratic fashion in recent years but she has now disappeared after a bizarre episode on the floor of the House yesterday where she attempted to attack Rep. Tom Marino while he was speaking.

Caution is advised, she is likely to be dangerous when confronted.

Occupy Wall Street Poster Boy: Edward T. Hall III

The New York Times has finally found a poster boy for the Occupy Wall Street mob. It must have been tough to filter out the usual clowns from 15 splinter communist parties, the peace groups, Code Pink, and MoveOn.org as well as the street people, druggies, and panhandlers; but after careful consideration Times reporter Cory Kilgannon settled on Edward T. Hall III. The problem as P.J. Gladnick reveals is that Little Eddie is a rather bizarre drama queen (Warning: crude language):

You too can be a Drama Queen

The Times article describes Little Eddie thusly:

Mr. Hall is a well-educated young man with a privileged upbringing who said he was following a calling greater than getting a job and making money. He said he saw the protest as a global movement to help fight poverty and economic inequality. He has spent the past month sleeping in the park and is one of the organizers of the protest.

...

Mr. Hall said that he grew up in New Mexico and that both his parents were politically active lawyers who were thrilled that he was pursuing a socially conscious life and was involved in the Occupy Wall Street protest. Mr. Hall said he attended Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and then transferred to Bard College in upstate New York because of its reputation as a socially conscious school.

He had been renting in Washington Heights for the past two years while attending doctoral classes at Columbia University as a nonmatriculated student. He said that he supported his modest lifestyle with savings from working as a teenager and that he also had “a small trust fund” from his grandfather that he had not drawn from yet. For the past four weeks, he has eaten free meals and has slept in the park.

Translation: Little Eddie is a spoiled Trust Fund Baby whose family is paying for him to hang around in New York amusing himself and annoying others. Probably a good idea since having Little Eddie living in the basement might be fraught with peril. Particularly since there is more to Little Eddie than just bad acting - among other things he is also well known for crawling though the baggage carousel at JFK airport in January to get around security so he could visit a girlfriend in San Francisco (more at Loon Has A Lot of Baggage). The best part is:

Conditional discharge in New York State means that if Ted stays out of trouble for a year, he stays out of jail. When he was not actively looking for trouble or trying to spend a little more time with Maya, Ted was previously employed as a research assistant at Columbia University’s Center for Research on Environmental Decisions: his specific discipline, human impatience.

Let's see, a whacked-out 1%er pretending solidarity with the common folk. One can't help but congratulate the Times on their choice. One can only hope that Little Eddie gets to use his Go Directly  to Jail card soon.

An American Carol - fun with Mikey Moore and the Moonbats

Director David Zucker of Naked Gun and Airplane fame has delivered a delicious sendup of pigboat propagandist Michael Moore and his looney leftwing pals called An American Carol. The idea is that the porcine one wants to abolish July 4th and is visited by three spirits (ala Charles Dicken's Christmas Carol) to show him the error of his ways. It's opening Oct. 3 and looks like a blast:

It's nice that Zucker was able to find so many Americans in Hollywood. Grab some popcorn and get ready for the cries of leftoid angst.

RIP: 40th anniversay of the death of the Democrat party

Bruce Walker does some remembering in 40 Years after the Death of a Party:
Incredibly, a political party largely reconstructed around the notion that its own nation is evil and its own citizens are dupes or worse, has survived and thrived in America. Its party leaders more or less openly root for the defeat of American soldiers in war. Its party bigwigs hobnob with America-haters like Michael Moore at national conventions. Its party faithful, according to public opinion polls, listen seriously to arguments that the American government planned war upon its own people.

The descent from a reasonable, serious political party into a gaggle of anti-patriots began forty years ago this month, just as the case for winning the Cold War was made most emphatically in the streets of Prague. It is not accidental that a former Democrat turned Republican, Ronald Reagan, won that Cold War over the constant squawking of Democrats.

The students of Chicago streets are now the old men of the Democrat Party. They blame America, somehow, for Russian tanks in Georgia, just as they blamed America, if they blamed anyone, for Soviet tanks in Czechoslovakia. Frozen in time, immune to reality, they tear and claw at the nation which gave them everything. They lived as they lived in 1968 -- reveling in the bloodying of America, chanting praises of Marxist monsters, pummeling anyone within their party who did not toe the party line.

When people sense the sickness of American politics and government, what they sense is something missing for forty years from our national dialog: Sincere and patriotic partisan debate. There should be two political parties, both committed to the American Dream, both in love with their nation, both proud to defend her. Instead, one party has accepted the lies told about America on the streets of Chicago in 1968. Too rich, too powerful, too confident, too comfortable -- this is what the rioters in Chicago thought of America then; this is what the heart of the Democratic Party thinks now, forty years after their political party died.
The part I like best is where the Democrat Presidential candidates compete for Moonbat love during the primaries and then flip flop and pretend to be Americans during the election campaign.

More on the same theme from Michael Graham in the Boston Herald:
My grandfather helped push Patton’s tanks across Europe, and one reason for my grandfather’s unshakable party loyalty was his belief that Harry Truman saved his life by dropping the A-bombs on Japan.
...
I miss my grandfather, but I’m also glad that he isn’t around to witness the tragic descent of his beloved Democratic Party.

Watching Obama with the Rev. Rick Warren this past weekend, answering questions - or, more accurately, not answering - about his most basic beliefs was simply embarrassing.

Obama supports partial-birth abortion and voted against the “Born Alive Infant Protection Act.” When he got the invitation to an evangelical forum hosted by a pro-life pastor, he had to know that issues regarding life and the law were going to come up.

And his prepared answer to the most fundamental question about public policy and abortion (“is the fetus a human being?”) is that it’s “above my pay grade?”

There are certain sentences that should never appear on the lips of the Leader of the Free World. “That Vladimir Putin, what a great guy!” is one of them. “I did not have sex with that woman” is another.

But on the very top of the list of statements about our nation’s laws that should never be spoken by a guy whose job it is to sit next to the Big, Red Button is “That’s above my pay grade.”

With all due respect, Sen. Obama, being president is above your pay grade. And the voters are starting to figure that out.

I like it - Barack Obama: being President is above his pay grade.

Today's Hoot!

Jonah Goldberg on Jihadi Chic:
At the annual Cairo antiwar conference in Egypt, the hot panel discussion this year was “Bridge-Building Between the Left and Islam.” John Rees, a British Trotskyite, observed: “Where else can you sit down in a single evening and listen to senior people from Hamas, Hezbollah, the Muslim Brotherhood, people from the revolutionary left and the antiwar movement from around the globe?”

Gosh, it sounds great. I’m just sorry I missed the rollicking game of Pictionary between the Castroites and the jihadis afterwards.
Now the Leftoids have always been willing to jump in the sack with just about anyone in the hopes of gaining power (see Hitler-Stalin pact), but doesn't swapping spit with Islamic terrorists put a crimp in all the gay and women's lib rhetoric? Apparently not.

There's more fun in the full article including:
Now, it’s way too early to start talking about the “Taliban wing of the Democratic party” or anything like that, but this is a fascinating and largely ignored phenomenon.
Heck, I thought that "Leader of the Democrat Taliban Wing" was Nancy Pelosi's job title!
