Speaking to the 47%: The $105,000 champagne tower featured at Obama fundraiser hosted by Jay-Z and Beyonce

President Barack Obama attended a fundraiser at Jay-Z's 40/40 Club in Manhattan that featured a champagne tower of 350 bottles worth $105,000 - more than twice the median household income of an American family.

The tower of $300-a-bottle Armand de Brignac Brut Gold, known as 'Ace of Spades' because of its label, is a permanent fixture at the club.

'It’s floor-to-ceiling gold bottles in the entire space,' a 40/40 representative told the New York Post. 'It’s beautiful—breathtaking. It’s the first thing you see when you walk in.'

The median income for an American family was $51,413 in 2011.

I like the part where the Clown Prince joked that his daughters were upset that they couldn't be there. I guess they missed out on some of Jay-Z's famous lyrics (lightly edited for profanity):

Quite a classy guy, that Jay-Z. But the bottom line is that Obama is An Unserious President In Seriously Perilous Times:

The Mideast is in turmoil, the economy is faltering and the president opts to spend precious time with David Letterman, Beyonce and Jay-Z. Are we the only ones to wonder if Obama's suited to be president?

Last week, Michelle Bachmann had it partly right when she said that "President Obama needs to get his priorities straight."

There's no question that Obama should, as Bachmann recommended, cancel his appearance on the Letterman show and agree to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

But the idea that Obama's problem is a mixed-up priority list is giving the president more credit than he deserves. Time and again, Obama has proved that he is simply incapable of taking the job of president seriously. And the repercussions of this grow by the day.

Not to worry though, Obama's wife Michelle the Moocher wants you to know that Barry is still feeling the pain of Americans, despite living in the cushy confines of the White House.

Yeah, right. Michelle will say anything to get some more opulent taxpayer-paid vacations with her pals.

Obama bows to Islamic terrorists

Unlike most of his promises, Obama got right on his latest submission to Islamic terrorism:

By sending — literally — brownshirted enforcers to engage in — literally — a midnight knock at the door of a man for the non-crime of embarrassing the President of the United States and his administration, President Obama violated that oath. You can try to pretty this up (It’s just about possible probation violations! Sure.), or make excuses or draw distinctions, but that’s what’s happened. It is a betrayal of his duties as President, and a disgrace.

Obama also tried to pressure Google who amazingly told him to pound sand.

Stand by for Obama's emergency request for more funds to hire thought police, because once you give in to the Islamic terrorists, they'll be back for more and there's a whole lot of free speech for them to use as an excuse. Wait until they spot million dollar Obama donor Bill Maher's film Religulous:

Stevens and his colleagues were sitting ducks, due to Obama’s inexcusable failures. Now Americans are out-and-out targets for assassins and terrorist attacks worldwide.

The mainstream media has bent over backward to protect President Obama and promote him for his reelection. But the stakes are much higher now than any of us dreamed possible mere days ago. We need a competent president but don’t have one. Can we at least, please, have competent journalism as our last defense?
